Leafeon VMAX Deck Evolving Skies

Overview

Leafeon VMAX is not very tough for VMAX Pokemon since it has only 310 HP.  It has Fire Weakness so most of the Fire Decks can easily OHKO it.

Its first attack, Grass Knot has a potential to deal huge damage for 2 Energy [1 Grass Energy and 1 Colorless Energy].  This attack does 60 damage for each Energy in your opponent's Active Pokemon Retreat Cost. Usually, Pokemon will have 1 or 2 Energy in their Retreat Cost so Grass Knot Damage will be 60 damage or 120 damage.

The other attack, Max Leaf has 170 damage for 3 Energy [2 Grass Energy and 1 Colorless Energy] and this attack can heal 30 damage from Leafeon VMAX. Although 170 damage is not very high, it can still be used to 2HKO your opponent's VMAX Pokemon.

Its pre evolution, Leafeon V has very useful support Ability Greening Cell. This Ability allows you to attach 1 Grass Energy to 1 of your Pokemon. But, your turn ends after you use that Ability. In other words, you will be able to attach 2 Grass Energy to Leafeon V in 1 turn.  Because of this Ability, ou won't need any extra support card in your deck to accelerate Energy setup for Leafeon VMAX.

Increase Retreat Cost

The more the Energy in your opponent's Pokemon Retreat Cost, the higher the Grass Knot damage. You can use Galar Mine to increase 2 more Energy in your opponent's Retreat Cost. If your opponent's Pokemon has 2 Energy in Retreat Cost , your Lefaon VMAX will be able to deal 240 damage to that Pokemon with Galar MIne.

Pokemon Tool like Air Balloon can reduce your opponent's Pokemon Retreat Cost by 2 Energy. which in turn reduces the damage of Grass Knot. To prevent that, you can equip your Leafeon VMAX with Tool Jammer to disable the effect of Air Balloon .

Special Pokemon Tool

The new Pokemon Tool, Snow Leaf Badge is specially for Leafeon VMAX. This tool not only remove Leafeon VMAX Fire weakness but also makes Leafeon  VMAX Retreat Cost 0. The effect especially comes in handy when you are against Fire Pokemon.  Also, Galar Mine will have no longer any effect on Leafeon VMAX as long as it is equipped with Snow Leaf Badge.

Support Pokemon

Since Leafeon VMAX attack Grass Knot relies on number of Trainers to increase damage output, Drizzile with Shady Dealing can be used to find those Trainers when you evolve it. Additionally, its evolution, Inteleon Rapid Strike Ability Quick Shooting can add extra 20 damage to Grass Knot damage.
